Floyd Response to Blue Cross Blue Shield Rebuttal on Polk Coverage
In a media release on Wednesday, April 18, Floyd alerted local employers and patients that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia had chosen not to extend its contract with Floyd Medical Center to Polk Medical Center.

These transcript of agreements pertaining to the Polk Medical Center lease transaction were approved for execution and delivery by the Hospital Authority of Floyd County and by the Floyd Healthcare Management, Inc. Board of Directors at a joint board meeting held November 28, 2011.
The agreements were approved earlier that day by the Cedartown-Polk County Hospital Authority.
