Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

Established July 1, 1966, Floyd EMS provides emergency pre-hospital care to residents in Floyd and Polk Counties through a well-equipped fleet of ambulances and specially trained personnel.

 

Floyd has ambulances stationed in both Rockmart and Cedartown ensure rapid response and quality medical care. These efforts are complimented by our education, community outreach and disaster response initiatives, which provides CPR and First Responder training, career education, community event support and health screenings.

 

Our EMS team includes:

 

  • 12 ambulances
  • First responder vehicle
  • Neonatal Intensive Care transport ambulance
  • 3 non-emergency transport vehicles
  • 80 paramedics, EMTs and support personnel
  • 3 Polk County stations: Polk Medical Center, 1340 Chattahoochee Drive (parallel to U.S. 278) and West       Elm Street
