Emergency Medical Services
Floyd Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provides emergency ambulance and non-emergency transport services to residents of Polk and Floyd counties in Georgia and Cherokee County in Alabama.
Floyd has an EMS station in Cedartown to ensure rapid response and quality medical care using ambulances equipped with cutting-edge technology and specially trained personnel.
EMS also provides intensive education, community outreach and disaster-response initiatives. Those initiatives include cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first-responder training, career education, event support and health screenings to schools, civic organizations, churches and other groups in the community.
