When your doctor wants to know more about how you heart is working, Polk Medical Center offers convenient access to diagnostic tests to identify heart conditions and disease. Our staff members are nationally certified in their field. We offer high-quality diagnostic equipment that allows cardiologists to view and interpret the information quickly.
Electrocardiogram (EKG): During this test, electrodes are attached to the chest and the electrical activity of the heart is recorded to determine its health.
Echocardiogram (ECHO): This test uses ultrasound to capture images of the heart. These pictures allow the doctor to identify any problems in the heart muscle and valves.
Stress Testing: This is performed using an electrocardiogram or an echocardiogram to see how the heart pumps during exercise.
Our heart services at Polk Medical Center also include
cardiac rehabilitation for patients needing therapy after a heart-related issue or if heart disease has been found.
